Metal Hose
Structure
A metal hose generally consists of three main parts:
bellows,
braided mesh cover, and
fittings.
The bellows is the main body of the metal hose, providing flexibility;
the braided mesh cover provides reinforcement and shielding;
the fittings serve for connection.
According to different application requirements, the connection methods vary:
- When the bellows, mesh cover and fittings are connected by welding, it is called welded type.
- When connected by mechanical clamping, it is called mechanical clamping type.
- In addition, there is a combined type that uses both of the above methods.
Product Scope
Metal hose products include oil suction & delivery hoses, steam hoses, sandblasting hoses, acid & alkali resistant hoses, food-grade hoses, oxygen blowing hoses, and various special-shaped hoses.
They are widely used in machinery, chemical, petroleum, metallurgy, food and other industries.
Pressure Range of Pressure-resistant Metal Hose
The pressure range of the hose is generally
PN0.6 – 32.0 MPa, up to
42.0 MPa.
The metal hose acts as the main pressure-bearing component in pressure pipelines and also protects the bellows.
According to the pipeline pressure and application site, one or multiple layers of stainless steel wire or steel strip braiding can be selected.
Features
Since the main components are made of
austenitic stainless steel, the hose has excellent temperature resistance and corrosion resistance, with an extremely wide operating temperature range of
-196 – 600 ℃.
The corrosion resistance can be ensured by selecting the appropriate stainless steel grade according to the corrosiveness of the medium.
- The whole metal hose is made of 1Cr18Ni9Ti stainless steel, with strong corrosion resistance.
- The hose body is hydraulically formed from thin-walled stainless steel tube, featuring high flexibility, extensibility, bending and anti-vibration performance. The reinforced braided mesh cover provides higher pressure-bearing capacity.
- The connections at both ends can be made into non-standard types besides threads and flanges for convenient installation and use.
- This product is not only suitable for matching with rotary joints, but also widely used for flexible connection in the conveying of various fluid media.
Special-purpose Metal Hose
Corrosion-resistant, high and low temperature resistant (-196℃ ~ +420℃), light weight, small size and good flexibility.
Widely used in aviation, aerospace, petroleum, chemical, metallurgy, electric power, paper making, wood, textile, construction, medicine, food, tobacco, transportation and other industries.
- Flexible between pitches, with small bending radius.
- Good extensibility, no blockage or rigidity.
